Accounts

Every coding tool's accounts in one list — the table, each column, the account menu and every sheet it opens, adding and removing accounts, the plan sentence, Chrome marks and tokens by account.

Accounts lists every account of every coding tool in one place: Claude subscriptions and seats, API keys, Codex, Cursor and the others. Claude Code is one tool among them; what you can do with an account depends on what its tool allows.

The list

On a Mac, Accounts is one table. On an iPhone and iPad it is a list of cards with the same facts.

Column What it shows
Account Its name (or its e-mail), with a mark for its state: bronze for active, sea for next, terracotta "Back 14:20" for out of room until then.
Tool Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, …
Status Ready, signed out, paused, capped, waiting on you to do something.
Left Each window it has: "5-hour 38% used", "Weekly 51% used".
Resets When its windows reset.
Plan Its subscription: Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise, an API key.

Above the table: "3 of 4 ready · all spent in 4 h", the Tool filter ("All Tools", or one tool), the Account menu for the selected row, and Add Account ("Add an account to any coding tool").

  • Double-click a row to rename it; right-click for its menu.
  • A tool that needs something from you says so on its row, with Do It.
  • A tool Kairos could not read shows "Cursor: unavailable" with the reason.
  • If the engine is older than the app: "Kairos on this Mac is older than this app: update it to see every tool's accounts here."

The plan

Under the list, one sentence says what rotation does now and why. It is the same sentence as the web dashboard's plan line. For example:

New in 2.0.69, it also names the weeks rotation passes over now, and when the forecast spends each:

  • At most four accounts are named, then "and N more".
  • "planned 6–7 Nov" is when the week plan spends that account's week; it is left out when the forecast does not spend it.
  • "the forecast leaves about N sessions of it unspent at its reset" (or renewal) appears only when half a session or more would go unused.
  • The other rules read "Weekly-first: staying on …", "No weekly limit first: staying on …", "Bill not paid first: …". See Rotation and the week plan.

Planned

New in 2.0.69, every account the week plan spends later says when: "planned Fri 09:00", or "planned now" while it is inside its planned hours.

  • On a Mac, in the Status column, under the account's state. An account stopped at a hard cap says until when there instead.
  • On an iPhone or iPad, on Today, under the account's row. An account Kairos is holding shows its hold line there instead.
  • On the web dashboard, on the account's card, after when its window resets.

The active account shows no line, and neither does an account the plan does not spend or one whose planned hours are over. A Mac on an older Kairos sends no planned hours, so the iPhone shows nothing for it. The hours are the plan's own: see The week plan › When each week is spent and Week ahead.

Usage refused

New in 2.0.70: when Anthropic refuses to tell Kairos an account's usage while the account still works, the account says Usage refused (before, "Usage unavailable"), with the note "Anthropic refused its usage reading; Kairos renews its login", and its menu offers the sign-in. Kairos renews that account's login itself first: a one-word request through the account's own login, at most once every six hours (within the hour after one that did not go through). It sends none while 5-hour windows are off in Settings. "Usage unavailable" stays for a reading that could not be made at all, such as no connection.

Every account has the same menu on the Mac, the iPhone and the iPad (the row's …, a right-click, or a long press). It shows only what the account's tool allows.

Item What it does
Rename… A short name for the account ("e.g. work"). "Empty shows the e-mail." "Lowercase letters, digits, . - _".
Switch to This Account… New sessions start on it now. "Keep This Account…" when it is already active.
Sign In… / Sign In Again… The tool's own sign-in, in the Mac's browser: "Claude Code signs in as account1@example.com, in the Mac's browser."
Price… What the account costs you. See Price.
Use Up By… When its capacity ends. See Use up by.
Cap… Your own ceiling for it. See Caps.
Billing… The account's billing page, on a Mac. See Billing.
Usage Page The tool's own usage page in the browser.
Resources… CPU, memory, disk and network of every session on the account, added up.
Ask About This… Opens Ask about this account.
Open Chrome / Set Up Chrome… The account's own Chrome ("Open Chrome on the Mac" on a phone). See Chrome for each account.
Claude in Chrome Uses This Account Names the account the Claude in Chrome extension is signed in to.
It's My Own Seat… For a Team or Enterprise seat. See Seats.
Pause / Use Again Rotation leaves a paused account alone until you use it again.
Remove… See Remove.

Switch

"Switch to side?" — "New sessions use it now, until it reaches 95%." Running sessions keep their account. Kairos holds the account until then, or until another switch; then rotation takes over again.

Price

"Price of work". List price is the plan's; My price is what you pay: "Dollars a month" ("0 when free"), Until a day with its last day ("Then the list price again."), and For this account or its whole organization. Kairos uses the price to say what unused capacity is worth; work done at API prices is never shown as if you paid it.

Seats

"Is team your own seat?" — "Use only a Team or Enterprise seat its organization gave you. Sessions start on it once you say so." It's My Own Seat confirms it; until then, rotation never starts a session on it.

Remove

"Remove side?" — "Kairos stops using it and signs it out, unless it is the login Claude Code had before Kairos: that one stays signed in." Its history stays.

Adding an account

Add Account opens one sheet for every tool:

  1. Tool: Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Copilot, Kiro, Devin, …
  2. How: Sign in ("Finish in the Mac's browser.") or API key ("Billed per token.").
  3. Name (optional).
  4. For a key: paste it into Key. It is read hidden and never put on a command line.

Tools that sign in inside their own apps (Cursor, Antigravity) say so: "Cursor opens its own sign-in in the Mac's browser." If no tool on the Mac can take accounts from Kairos: "No coding tool on this Mac takes accounts from Kairos yet."

Move your accounts to Kairos

If your accounts are still kept by the older rotation that moved logins (cswap), a banner says: "From 12 November rotation no longer moves logins. Move your accounts to Kairos." Move Accounts asks first: "Kairos keeps each account on this Mac by itself; no login is copied. Then sign in to each once." After that day: "Rotation no longer moves logins. Move your accounts to Kairos to rotate again." From Terminal: claude-rotation move-accounts.

Chrome

A line says how many accounts have their own Chrome: "Chrome is set up for 2 of 4 accounts", with Set Up work. Each account's marks: "Its own Chrome is set up", "Its own Chrome is not signed in as this account", "Claude in Chrome uses this account".

Tokens by account

Each account's card can show "Tokens by model" over the chosen range, "Reading tokens…" while it reads, or "No tokens used today."

Admin keys

Settings › Accounts › API costs › Admin keys adds a Console organization's Admin key, for what its API use costs. "An organization admin makes one at platform.claude.com › Settings › Admin keys. Kept in this Mac's Keychain." See API keys.
