Kairos for Mac
Chrome for each account
The Chrome window — three steps that give an account its own Chrome, signed in as it, with Claude in Chrome turned on.
Claude in Chrome connects only to sessions on the account its extension is signed in to. So Kairos gives each account its own Chrome (a Chrome profile of its own, called Kairos Chrome), signed in to claude.ai as that account. Its pages and Claude in Chrome then open there, whatever account your everyday browser uses. See Chrome for what Kairos does with it.
Opening it
An account's menu › Set Up Chrome…, the Set Up … button on the setup line in Accounts ("Chrome is set up for 2 of 4 accounts"), or a "Chrome for each account" moment. The window is titled "Chrome for work" (the account's name).
The three steps
- Open its Chrome. Opens the account's own Chrome. "Chrome opens only when you click."
- Sign in to claude.ai as account1@example.com. Sign in once, there. If Chrome is signed in as someone else, the step says "Not signed in as this account."
- Turn on Claude. "On its store page: Enable now, or Add to Chrome." If Chrome already has the extension: "Chrome has it: Enable now, on its page." Kairos installs the extension for you, turned off until you enable it.
When all three are done: "Set up. Its pages and Claude in Chrome open there."
While the window is open and the account is not set up, Kairos looks every 2 seconds to tick the steps off. It stops when the window closes or the account is set up.
Marks on the account
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Its own Chrome is set up | Pages and Claude in Chrome open there. |
| Its own Chrome is not signed in as this account | Step 2 again. |
| Claude in Chrome uses this account | The account the extension's sessions use. |
Good to know
- One Kairos Chrome per account. Kairos never closes one: only you, or a crash, do.
- Kairos never reads a Chrome profile's cookies or storage.
