Kairos for Mac
Billing
The Billing window — each account's claude.ai or Console billing page inside Kairos, what Kairos reads from it and how to forget the sign-in.
A bill is where Kairos learns that a payment failed, a plan renewed or a charge came twice. The Billing window shows an account's own billing page, signed in as that account, so you never have to sign out of your browser to look.
Opening it
An account's menu › Billing… (on a Mac, for an account with an e-mail). The window's title is the account's e-mail, for example account1@example.com. A renewal-day glance (see Moments) opens it too.
What is in it
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Site | Claude (claude.ai › Settings › Billing) for a subscription, or Console (platform.claude.com › Settings › Billing) for API keys. |
| Billing | Opens Settings › Billing on that site. |
| Read | Reads this billing page again. Kairos also reads it by itself whenever a billing page has shown: the plan, the renewal date, the invoices and their state. |
| Forget sign-in | Signs out here and forgets this account's sign-in on this Mac. "Kairos keeps it only in this window's own storage on this Mac." |
Signing in: choose Continue with email, and Claude sends a code to the account's address. Google and Apple don't allow their sign-in inside an app's window, so Continue with Google or Apple says so there: "Google and Apple sign-in cannot open here. Choose Continue with email: Claude sends a code to the same address."
You sign in inside the window once, on Anthropic's own page; the sign-in is kept in a browser store of that account's own. When a billing page has shown, Kairos sends its text to the engine on your Mac. Kairos never reads a cookie or a token from it, and nothing loads unless the window is open.
What Kairos does with a bill
- A failed payment or a double charge is an alert.
- A subscription outside Kairos, or one paid for and unused, is a glance.
- On a paid plan's renewal day, until Kairos has read a bill since, a glance asks you to open Billing.
- The page's renewal date ("will auto renew on …") becomes the account's renewal on Accounts and in the Planner, in place of a month on from when the subscription began (new in 2.0.70). Pages in any currency are read. A page read later that says the plan was canceled, or that it will not renew, ends that renewal.
- A payment that failed makes rotation spend that account first, while it still works (see Rotation).
