Web dashboard
Web dashboard
The local web page every Kairos install serves on the Mac, section by section, top to bottom.
The web dashboard is the same Kairos in a browser tab. It runs on your Mac only, at http://127.0.0.1:47615, and nothing outside the Mac can open it. The Mac app and the iPhone show the same numbers; the dashboard is useful on a second screen, or when you work from a terminal.
Open it with claude-rotation dashboard, which starts it first if it is not running. The command opens the page with a code that lets this browser in, good once and for two minutes; the page keeps what it gets for this browser only. Kairos makes a new one each time it starts, so after a restart the page says "Open this page with: claude-rotation dashboard": run it again. The port is a setting: see Settings and config.
The header
- Live: "Connecting…" until the page has its first reading, then "Live · updated" and the time.
- Light, Dark, System: the page's appearance.
- Range: Last 24 hours or Last 7 days, for the key figures, Usage, Token efficiency and Activity. History, GitHub Actions, Repositories and Hardware have ranges of their own. This browser remembers each choice.
Needs attention
Sessions waiting on you appears only when a session cannot go on without you: a sign-in, a question, a permission. Each line says what it waits for, and Open live view opens it in the live view.
Under it, a second list says which sessions Kairos will resume by itself, and when; open a line to see the sessions and their accounts. See The capacity guard.
Key figures
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Active account | The account new Claude Code sessions start on, and how much it has left ("about" when Kairos estimates the burn since the last reading). On a new Mac, "No accounts yet". |
| Sessions running | How many sessions, and how many are working, in a shell or idle. |
| Output tokens | Output tokens in the range, how many tokens were processed, and the share read from cache. |
| Background tasks running | Running tasks, those silent for 6 hours or more, and how many finished or failed. |
| Queued messages | Messages waiting to reach a session, and in how many sessions. |
| Memory in Claude sessions | The memory Claude Code sessions hold, and how full the Mac's memory is. |
| Next rotation check | When the next check runs, with the week plan's short line and when it expects to switch. |
Laurels
This week, scored: the same scores as the apps' Laurels. See Laurels.
Sessions
Who is running what: one row per session, with Session, Status, Login, Model, Project, Now, Output, Context, Memory, CPU, Active and Queue. Click a row to see more of it; Open opens its live view. The columns mean what they mean on the Mac: see Sessions.
Usage
Tokens and models: tokens over the range, and the split by model, by account and by token type. Below them are the call charts: calls, running helpers, context per call and cache written, with a menu to pick one model. How to read them: Charts.
Token efficiency
Where cache reads come from: the figures, a chart of context size, By project (Project, Requests, Subagents, Subagent start, Avg context, Tokens, Cache hit rate) and Heaviest subagents (Session, Subagent, Project, Requests, Peak context, Cache reads). See Charts and Insights.
Background work
Tasks and backlog: Running now and Recently finished, the background tasks your sessions started.
Spare capacity
Work put off for later. Write what a task should do, choose the repository, and press Put off. "It starts in a worktree of its own when an account has capacity that would otherwise go unused." Tasks lists what is waiting, running and done. See Work for later.
Night Shift
While you are away. The switch at the top turns Night Shift on or off. Brief says what the last shift did. Chores lists the chores; add one with its text and repository, and tick "A second opinion from Codex: it reviews the day's commits, reading only" for a review. "Each chore runs at most once a night, in a worktree of its own. Nothing merges by itself." See Night Shift.
Accounts
Every coding tool: every account of every coding tool, as cards in one list.
- The pill beside the heading says whether the scheduler is healthy.
- Under it, when they apply: the account you are keeping by hand, the plan line, the result of a switch, and notes from the tools.
- Each card shows the tool and plan, the account, how much it has left, its windows, when it resets, and when the week plan spends it ("planned Fri 09:00"; see Planned).
- Switch here asks how long to keep it: 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, or until it stops at the limit ceiling. The active account offers Keep here instead. A tool Kairos does not rotate offers Use for new sessions.
- At the end, a way to add an account.
See Accounts and Switching by hand.
Week ahead
How the limits cover the forecast appears once there is a week plan. The chart is "Forecast spend by day and the limits that serve it". Each account's plan has one row per account, with its pace against an even spend. Events lists "What changed, and whether the next check planned again", and Plan again asks for a new plan now. See Week ahead and The week plan.
Usage history
How each account's limits moved, over 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. See History.
GitHub Actions
What each repository's Actions cost, over 7, 30 or 90 days: spend by day, then by repository, workflow and session. See Actions and Actions daily cap.
Repositories
What sessions did in git, over 7, 30 or 90 days: commits by day, lines added and removed, size on disk, and the lists under them. See Repos.
Hardware
This Mac: its CPU, GPU, memory, disk activity and network over the last hour, day or week, and who used each, as a share of the whole Mac. The GPU part shows only on a Mac whose GPU Kairos can read. See Hardware.
Disk adds the disk's space, over 7, 30 or 90 days: free space, who holds it, held by day, and the lists. Kairos measures the folders only while Disk is picked. See Disk space.
Activity
What happened in the range: each switch, a check that was blocked, failed or timed out, background tasks started, done, failed or stopped, and sessions started. "No activity in this range." when there is none.
Settings
How Kairos acts for you. Each coding tool that has one shows "Deliver messages without approval", with the tool's name, and a switch that reads On, Off or Mixed. A setting your organization fixed shows "Locked" and cannot be changed here. When none of your tools has one, it says "None of your coding tools has a setting to change here." The rest of Kairos's settings are in the Mac's Settings and config.
System
Scheduler, dashboard and index: the scheduler and its policy, the next check, what happens after a restart, whether Kairos starts at login, the transcript index, notifications, where rotation stops (the limit ceiling), API keys and weekly-first. Rotation log opens the latest lines of the log. See Files and logs.
Live view
The live view opens beside the page from Open on a session, or Open live view under Needs attention.
- At the top: the session's tool, its name and what it is doing.
- Run on spare capacity: "Kairos holds it while its account has none to spare and continues it, or moves it, when one does. Carry on with it yourself and it is yours again." It shows for a session Kairos can send messages to.
- Hand off to …, when another tool can carry on: see Baton.
- Its helpers, then Activity: what it asked, replied and ran, notices and errors, and its questions to you with the choice you made.
- Message this session: a message to the running session, with a count of its length and Send. A note under it says whether the message is delivered at once or waits for your approval in the tool, which is the setting under Settings.
Close closes it.
