Repositories

The git repositories your sessions work in — commits and lines by day, size on disk, worktrees, branches, the largest files, the sessions and people behind the commits, and open pull requests.

Repositories lists the git repositories your sessions work in, read on your Mac from git itself: what was committed, how big each one is, which checkouts and branches it has, and what is not committed or pushed. Pull requests come from GitHub when it is connected.

The range

Range picks 7 days, 30 days (the default) or 90 days. The figure at the top counts commits over the range, with lines added and removed: "48 commits over 30 days · +2,140 −610".

Pick a repository in a chart or a list to see only it; All repositories goes back.

Charts

Chart What it shows
Commits by day Each day's commits, stacked by repository.
Lines added and removed Lines added above the line, removed below it, each day.
Size on disk Each day's size. "History is the .git folder, Files the checkout, Worktrees the other checkouts."
Pull requests "Open on GitHub": each open pull request's number and title. "No open pull requests."

Lists

List What it shows
Repositories "Branches, worktrees and what is not committed or pushed": for example "2 worktrees · 6 branches · 1 stash · 3 changed files", then "1 merged · 2 stale · 1 not pushed", and on GitHub "4 branches on GitHub · 2 open pull requests".
Worktrees "Each checkout, its branch and the session working in it."
Branches "Ahead and behind their upstream; merged, stale or not pushed": for example "api · stale · last commit 45 days ago" and "3 ahead · 1 behind". "Only the main branches." when there are no others.
Largest files "In the checkout, or only in history (deleted or replaced)". Only files over 1 MB.
Sessions "Who made the commits": the sessions whose commits these are. Tap one to open it.
People "Commit authors": each author and their commits.

A branch is stale when it is not merged, is not the main branch, and has had no commit for 30 days. Merged branches are already in the main branch and can usually be deleted. Not pushed has commits its upstream does not have, or no upstream at all.

Where it comes from

Kairos finds the repositories from the folders your sessions run in, and reads each with git on the Mac. Nothing is uploaded. Sizes are measured while the screen is open and kept by day.

It says Meaning
Reading git The first read is in progress.
No repositories yet No session has worked in a git repository yet.
Repositories need Kairos 2.0.64 on your Mac The engine is older. See Updates.

On an iPhone and iPad

On an iPhone, Today's Repositories card opens the screen as a sheet; Done closes it. A wide iPad has it as a tab.
