Kairos for Mac
Menu bar
The Kairos mark in the menu bar and the glance it opens — what needs you, the active account, the next switch and the sessions waiting on you.
With Show in menu bar on (Settings › Alerts, or the setup step), Kairos's mark sits in the menu bar from launch to quit. A dot at its corner means a moment is waiting that you have not seen.
What the glance shows
Click the mark. From the top:
- Moments. The few that matter now, newest first; the rest are counted ("and N more") and all of them are on Today. Click one to open the screen that acts on it.
- The active account and its room: for example "62% left", in large figures.
- Next: side, the account rotation would move to next, or "3 of 4 ready".
- N waiting on you, when sessions are waiting for an answer or a permission. Click it to open Sessions.
- Open Kairos opens the window; Quit quits Kairos (the engine keeps running in the background).
With no account yet, the glance offers Add Account…, which opens Accounts.
The account figures are read only while the glance is open. Nothing polls in the background for it.
Keep Kairos at hand?
Until you have chosen, the glance carries one card: "Keep Kairos at hand? Open at login, and alert you when capacity is about to go unused or accounts run out." Turn on sets both; Not now hides the card. Both can be changed in Settings › Alerts.
Without the menu bar
Turn Show in menu bar off and the mark goes. Alerts still come as notifications while Kairos runs, and every moment is on Today.
