Kairos for Mac
Kairos's window
The Mac app's main window — the sidebar, each section, the toolbar, the menus and the other windows Kairos opens.
Kairos for Mac is one window with a sidebar, a menu bar glance and Settings. It opens on Today. Closing the window does not stop Kairos: the engine keeps watching your accounts in the background, and the menu bar glance stays (when it is on).
The sidebar
The sidebar carries Kairos's name and its version (for example "Kairos · 2.0.69") and one row per section, in this order:

Until Kairos is set up, the window shows the setup steps instead of the sidebar.
The toolbar
- Refresh (⌘R): "Read the Mac again". Kairos reads on its own while a screen is on show; Refresh asks at once.
The menus
- Kairos › Check for Updates… opens Settings › Updates.
- Kairos › Settings… (⌘,) opens Settings.
- View › Refresh (⌘R).
- There is no File › New: Kairos has one main window.

When nothing seems to happen
Kairos never takes the focus from what you are doing: it opens windows only when you click. If the window shows a terracotta line such as "Kairos on this Mac did not answer", see Troubleshooting.
