History
How each account's limits moved over a day, a week, a month or 90 days — one row per account, the weekly and 5-hour lines, other limits, the time each account was active, the ceiling, and the crosshair.
History shows how each account's limit windows moved, one row per account, all on the same 0–100% scale. Use it to see which account carried which hours, how close each came to its limits, and when each reset.
The range
Range picks the span: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. The line under the title says how long Kairos has been recording: "Each 0–100% of its limit · recording since Oct 16, 3:31 PM", or, once it has more than it keeps, "kept 90 days on this Mac".
Reading a row
Each row is one account: its name, and its tool's name when more than one tool's accounts are shown ("Codex · side"). An account that has since been removed shows as "An earlier account", or "API key".
| Drawn as | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Solid line | Weekly: how much of the account's week was used. |
| Thin line | 5-hour: its 5-hour window. It drops to zero each time the window resets. |
| Dashed line | Other limit: a limit besides those two, such as a weekly limit for one model, a 30-day limit or usage credits. |
| Shaded band | Active account: the hours new sessions started on this account. |
| Dashed rule | stops at 95%: the limit ceiling, where rotation moves on. |
The crosshair
Point at a time (or touch and drag on an iPhone) and one crosshair runs through every row. Each row then says what it had at that moment: "Weekly 40% · 5-hour 91%", with "active" when it was the active account. Over a day the time reads "2:40 PM"; over longer ranges "Sun, Oct 18, 11:10 AM".
When it is empty
| It says | Meaning |
|---|---|
| No history yet. Each check records every account's limits; the first readings appear within a minute. | Kairos was just installed. |
| No readings in this range. | Nothing was recorded in the span picked. Pick a longer one. |
| Kairos on this Mac keeps no usage history yet; update it to see this. | The engine is older than the app. See Updates. |
| The usage history cannot be read (…) | The history file could not be opened; the reason follows. See Troubleshooting. |
Where it comes from
Every check (every 30 minutes by default, and at each switch) records each account's windows into a history file on the Mac. Nothing leaves the Mac. See Files.
On an iPhone and iPad
On an iPhone, History opens as a sheet from Today's usage chart; Done closes it. A wide iPad has it as a tab. The web dashboard shows the same chart as "How each account's limits moved"; see Web dashboard.
